The  Blue Community Consortium seeks to protect oceans, coastal habitat, and marine environment in Florida through implementing Blue Community and other sustainable tourism strategies.

The Blue Consortium is administered by the WHALE Center, a not-for-profit 501 (c) 3 organization and is an affiliate member of the United Nations World Tourism Organization.

Blue Community One Planet Living Pilot Program Last Updated on 2018-06-25 15:14:20 The Blue Community Consortium is providing for members an opportunity to participate in a new pilot program that integrates the One Planet Living Framework, the 12 Blue Community Strategies, and the PM4SD (Project Management for Sustainable Development) certification program. The pilot program part of a new UNWTO Futures Team project that is pairing up hotels and resorts with restaurants, attractions, and other tourism businesses to reduce the ecological footprint of tourism while increasing profit and market share.  The pilot will serve as a global best practice model.
