Jose Lazaro Quintero Santos

José Lázaro Quintero Santos. Doctor in International Economics and Development by University Complutense of Madrid, Spain. He is graduated of Tourism Management, Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management Klessheim, Salzburg, Austria; Master of Economy and Bachelors in Economics by University of Habana, Cuba. Currently, he is a visiting scholar at Patel College of Global Sustainability, University of South Florida. Associate Professor, University Antonio de Nebrija, Madrid. Spain and Universidad Teconológica Equinoccial (UTE), Quito, Ecuador.

From April 2015 to April 2016, he was linked to the Prometeo Project of the National Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SENESCYT) Quito, Ecuador and he served as Project Manager for the project “Creation of Tourism Observatory UTE. From May 2013 to May 2014 he was the Project Management for the project "Proposal of a Sustainable Tourism Model for Playas Canton, Guayas Province, Ecuador. 

His research focuses on tourism observatories as sustainable tourism solutions, sustainable tourism and local development, tourist destinations. He has published papers in academic journals. He has also presented many papers at international conference on tourism and hospitality.
