Blue Community Program Coastal Sustainability Best Practices

Climate Change Education


USF Patel College of Global Sustainability Sustainable Tourism, Coastal Sustainability, Climate Change, and Food, Water Energy Nexus Concentrations and USF College of Marine Science students are invited to attend this experiential learning opportunity at no cost.

While the above students have  first priority, all other students and faculty at the Patel College and CMS are welcome to attend as well on a space available basis.

The program will take place at the Florida Aquarium on March 23rd from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.   The program will be presented by Heather Segura, Education Curriculum Manager and Debbi Stone, Vice President of Education.  Topics of this program include:

  • How to effectively communicate climate change issues
  • What kinds of communications help bring about behavior change
  • A walkthrough of examples of how the Florida Aquarium is communicating on climate change issues.
