1990s
WHALE Center was established as a Utah Not-For-Profit 501 (c) 3 organization August 27th, 1990.
WHALE Center is asked to provide leadership for 150 person Global Environment Team for Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, June 1992. The Cosmic Story featuring John Denver, Olivia Newton John, Paul Winter, Wangari Mathai and others was co-produced by WHALE and NACRE. The program was one of the largest if not the largest attended events at the Earth Summit also know as the United Natiions Conference on Environment & Development.
2000s
WHALE Center sponsored Utah URI to become a charter URI Cooperation Circle, April,, 2000
WHALE Center hosted first ever URI North America Conference, June, 2001 - WHALE provided specific programs with UNEP at this event.
WHALE Center was contracted by UNEP to produce a program at U.N. Headquarters for the U.N. International Day of Peace, September 21, 2001
WHALE and URI UN co-created Global Healing August 2002
WHALE becomes accredited as UNEP Major Stakeholder Group
WHALE produced the International Days Series with UNEP March - June 2007
Waves of Change was established as an IOI (International Ocean Institute) program administered by WHALE and Friends of the UN, August 2007
WHALE Board members David Randle & Richard Jordan were elected as two of the 4 delegates to represent North America at UNEP Global Ministerial Environment Program in Monaco, February 20-22, 2008
